!Xaus Lodge provides eco-luxury accommodation in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park.
A place to experience – not just to observe
The complex comprises a central lodge building and 12 individual chalets, each with its own deck overlooking a vast salt pan. Owned by the ‡Khomani San (Bushman) and Mier communities, !Xaus Lodge is commercially managed by Transfrontier Parks Destinations. !Xaus Lodge is FTTSA (Fair Trade) accredited.
Guests participate in dune walks, visit the local Bushman at a re-created craft village, go on afternoon or evening game drives and have access to telescopes to enjoy some of the best star-gazing in Southern Africa. The tariff includes accommodation in en-suite chalets, all meals, all activities and transfer from Kamqua Picnic site. Here you will learn about the wonder of the Kalahari – the plants and animals, and how man has integrated into this wilderness area.
