De Noordkaap is een provincie van Zuid‑Afrika die ontstond in 1994, toen de vroegere Kaapprovincie in drie provincies werd opgedeeld – waaronder ook de Oostkaap en de Westkaap. De Noordkaap is de grootste provincie van Zuid‑Afrika, maar heeft het laagste aantal inwoners. In deze grote leegte vind je een onwaarschijnlijk mooi landschap, varierend van de gortdroge Kalahari tot de wijngebieden van de Oranjerivier. Camps were set up and all gathered around the camp fire to be briefed about the excursion and also according to the myth,  ancient man used to gather around a new fire to celebrate peace and brotherhood amongst tribe. Certainly the next 9 days would be an experience of a lifetime and a firm bond would be formed giving justice to the myth.
