With a network of roads for 4×4 vehicles, visitors to this reserve can explore to their heart’s content, or visit viewing points over the Luvuvhu Gorge, and relax at the side of the Mutale River near the potholes and Mutale Falls. Facing the setting sun, guests have an extraordinary view of the Mutale River below, and a wilderness area of baobabs. Makuya Reserve is unfenced from Kruger National Park, and is home to the Big 5, and especially well-known for magnificent birding.
Close to Kruger’s Pafuri Gate, visitors can also use Mutale Falls to access the famous Pafuri Drive along the Luvuvhu River for stunning game viewing experiences.
