Starting at !Xaus Lodge, and now rolling out throughout the TFPD group of Lodges, are Red Cedar bathroom amenities: soap, shampoo, body wash and hand lotion. Red Cedar is a community-owned project in Wuppertal in the Cederberg Mountains. Their remote location presents a number of logistical challenges to operations, and TFPD have been working with the team to help them improve their delivery processes. Their ‘rooibos’ range of product is environmentally gentle, and luxurious to use. Initially used at !Xaus Lodge and Witsieshoek in single-use packaging, as part of their Fair Trade Tourism journey TFPD are rolling out multi-use holders for bathrooms so that guests still have generous quantities to use, and plastic waste is minimized.
